Torin
Founder & Head TrainerTorin’s training journey began in Wisconsin, where they grew up alongside their father’s highly disciplined hunting Labradors and their family’s easygoing Golden Retrievers. That early contrast—between the precision of working dogs and the companionship of family pets—sparked Torin’s lifelong curiosity about how animals learn and connect with people. By age eight, they were actively training dogs, and they’ve now been working professionally in the field for over ten years.
Dedicated to ongoing growth, Torin has studied a wide range of training methodologies, canine learning theory, psychology, neuroscience, and service dog training techniques. They are especially passionate about psychiatric service dog training, inspired by their own experiences with the profound empowerment a service dog can bring.
Torin’s approach is built on compassion and practicality: supporting not only the dog’s ability to learn, but also the owner’s. They believe training should be sustainable, accessible, and adapted to each person’s unique way of learning.
When not working with clients, Torin shares life with one spirited Chihuahua and four cats—two of whom are trained in agility, performance, and even leash walking. Their love of training goes beyond dogs, reflecting a genuine passion for understanding animal behavior in all its forms.
